Tony Manero is the central character in the 1977 film Saturday Night Fever. Portrayed by John Travolta, Tony is a 19-year-old Italian-American living in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, New York. He works a dead-end job at a paint store, but his true passion lies in dancing.

Tony is a charismatic but flawed individual. He is shown as a skilled disco dancer, holding court every Saturday night at the 2001 Odyssey disco. His prowess on the dance floor provides him with a sense of purpose and esteem, compensating for his frustrations with his family, his job, and his limited prospects.

Beyond Saturday Night Fever, the character returned in the 1983 film Staying Alive, directed by Sylvester Stallone. This sequel depicts Tony's attempt to establish himself as a professional dancer on Broadway, showcasing a more mature, albeit still troubled, version of the character.
